TARS (The Accor Reservation System) is the proprietary central reservation system developed and operated by Accor Hotels for managing reservations across its global portfolio. The platform handles online reservations, payment processing, sales optimization, and inventory management for Accor's extensive network of hotel brands. Accor has been progressively transitioning from TARS to D-Edge, a cloud-based CRS solution.
TARS is an internal Accor system designed primarily for properties operating under Accor's brand umbrella, including managed, franchised, and affiliated hotels. External distribution partners and channel managers connect to TARS via Accor's connectivity framework. For third-party properties or channel managers, TARS is accessible through established distribution agreements with Accor and via channel connectivity platforms such as Channex, where it is listed under the channel code TRS.
As the backbone of one of the world's largest hotel groups, TARS has historically facilitated reservation distribution for Accor brands ranging from economy to luxury segments across more than 100 countries. Its integration into Channex and other channel management ecosystems means that connectivity providers can route bookings through the Accor distribution pipeline. The ongoing migration to D-Edge CRS reflects the hospitality industry's broader shift toward modern cloud-native reservation infrastructure.
