What It Does

ENGIE is a multinational energy transition company that provides hospitality operators with a range of services: renewable energy procurement, on-site solar and storage installation, energy efficiency audits and retrofits, district heating and cooling connections, and long-term energy performance contracts.

Energy Performance Contracts

Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs) are a signature ENGIE offering: the company finances and installs efficiency improvements (HVAC upgrades, LED lighting, building envelope work) and recovers its investment from the guaranteed energy savings over a contract term, typically 10–20 years.

Renewable Energy Supply

ENGIE's energy supply arm can provide hotels with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for renewable electricity — from solar, wind, or hydro — at contracted rates. For hotels with Scope 2 emissions targets, a PPA is a direct path to 100% renewable electricity.

On-Site Generation and Storage

For properties with suitable roof space or land, ENGIE designs and installs rooftop solar, battery storage, and combined heat and power (CHP) systems. These on-site assets reduce grid dependence and provide energy resilience.

Hospitality Fit

ENGIE's services scale from large urban hotels and resorts to entire campus-style hospitality properties. They are particularly active with branded hotel groups pursuing portfolio-level decarbonization roadmaps.
